This article is an explanation of how to update the price after the appointment has been made and paid for, if the appointment is paid by cash, check or PayPal.
If you need to update the price of your service after the appointment is done and paid for (for example if you want to throw in a discount or add an extra service/time), here is step by step explanation how to do so:
From your Dashboard go to Calendar and find which appointment you need the amount updated for, click on appointment and in the window that pops-up on the right side of the screen, locate the Info section. In this section you can see financial information about your appointment.
Once an appointment is marked as "Paid", you can mark the appointment as "Unpaid" which will allow you to make edits. If you charged a card, you will not be able to unmark the appointment as "Paid by card".
For example, if the appointment is paid by cash or check and reflects like this:
Just click the box "Mark as Unpaid" to make edits and then mark as "Paid" again.
When you mark an appointment as "unpaid", ZenMaid will not issue a refund if they paid cash, check or PayPal. This feature is only so that you can correct the amount in the financials.
If the customer paid by credit card, you cannot edit the financials directly on the appointment. This article will walk you through the editing process of appointments where a card was charged.
Other than that, if you forgot to charge additional services for one appointment you can set up a second appointment to charge the difference. For example: Your customer had an appointment for $150. You already ran their card and forgot to charge the refrigerator clean at $25. You will add a new appointment for just the refrigerator and set the price at $25, then run the new charge.
