Here's how you can include the sales tax amount in your ZenMaid appointments & invoices.

Job Estimation

  • From your ZenMaid dashboard, go to Settings > Job Estimation.

  • In Job Estimations, locate the Tax Setting section.

  • Click +Add a tax rate and enter your Primary Tax rate

  • There will be a button called DEFAULT RATE that you can select so that a particular tax rate is immediately calculated on any new appointment that you add to your calendar.

  • If you see a line with 0% taxes that is grey and cannot be changed, it is because you already have appointments on the calendar that have 0% tax. Just click on +Add another primary tax located below that 'No Tax' line.

  • Any existing appointments will need to have the tax added to the financials on the appointment profile screen. (More on this below)

  • Don't forget to click on the Save Changes button at the bottom.

Secondary tax options

  • If you have two tax rates that need to be applied to appointments, for example, a state tax and a city tax, the state tax will be the Primary tax and the city will be a Secondary tax.

  • Don't forget to click on the Save Changes button at the bottom.

  • Head to the calendar to create an appointment or invoice. The default tax rates will auto-populate. You can always switch between no tax and the rates by using the dropdown tax button in the pricing section.

Applying Taxes to Existing Appointments

  • Find the appointment, click to open the appointment profile, and add tax to the appointment using the dropdown options.

  • Click the Financials button and in the dropdown click Copy to all future services

  • You can also create an Invoice using the Financials tab
