How to Add or Delete a Phone Number in Your Contacts + Key Points About Mobile Numbers

Below is a step-by-step process on how you can add a phone number into your contact and two frequently asked questions about mobile numbers.

Accessing Your Contact's Profile

  • Go to Contacts > All Contacts.

  • On your All Contacts page, search for the customer on the search bar and select the name to enter his/her profile.

  • Once you're on your contact's profile, click on the Actions button and select Edit.

Adding Your Contact's Mobile Number

  • If your contact doesn't have a mobile number on file yet, you may simply enter their phone number under the Phone Numbers field.

Changing Contact Labels

  • Select the phone number type by clicking on the drop-down menu.

Adding Another Mobile Number

  • If you need another phone number recorded in your contact's profile, click on the +Add Phone Number button.

Removing Your Contact's Mobile Number

  • If you need to delete a phone number and replace it with a new one, you may simply click on the πŸ—‘οΈ icon beside the existing phone number.

To Note:

  • We do not have a way to recover deleted data. Please be careful when deleting.

  • Don't forget to save your changes by scrolling down and hitting the Save or Save and create appointment buttons.


Question 1 - If a contact has two numbers saved as "mobile," will both receive the automated text?

Answer:

  • If a contact has two phone numbers, both will receive the automated Appointment Reminder text, as long as they are listed as Mobile. A phone number under the Spouse label, for example, will not get a text.

Question 2 - Does ZenMaid send text notifications to customers within Australia?

Answer:

  • Yes, ZenMaid offers SMS for Australian companies.


Additional Information

To Note:

  • SMS is a purchased bundle separately from your ZenMaid subscription. In the Plan and billing section, you can see the details for your ZenMaid subscription and the SMS pricing.

  • If your customer ever says that they aren't receiving texts, double-check that they have a mobile number in their profile. For an SMS to be delivered, your customer has to have a mobile phone number, as SMS cannot be delivered to landlines.

  • You do have the ability to add a mobile phone number with the option to not text them.
