Adding a note as a cleaner

On the mobile app, your cleaner needs to select the appointment they want to leave the note in. They need to scroll down to the Notes section and click the pink text Leave a note.

If the service is a one-time appointment, they will see something like this:

For recurring services, cleaners have the flexibility to decide whether the note should be visible on all future appointments. If they opt to "Show on recurring appointments," the note will appear on every subsequent service. Otherwise, the note will be specific to the current appointment only.

After typing in and/or attaching a picture, they need to click "Create".


Where to find a note added by a cleaner

Option 1: Appointments

To check the notes left by your cleaner for a specific appointment in ZenMaid, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the Calendar View from your ZenMaid dashboard.

  2. Click on the appointment you want to review. This will open the appointment sidebar.

  3. Navigate to the Notes section.

  4. In the Notes section, you can view any notes your cleaner has left about the job.

Option 2: Notifications

When a cleaner adds a note from the app, you will get a notification on the bottom left. Look for the πŸ”” symbol.

Additional Information

After a note is added, it can only be edited by the original author. Cleaners can modify notes they've created, but they cannot edit notes added by the account owner, office manager, or other cleaners.

  • Show note only for this appointment: If the note was selected to be added to recurring services, can be changed to only the selected appointment.

  • Move note from appointment to contact: If the note needs to be permanently attached to a customer, it can be moved to the contact section.

  • Make note private: A private note will only be visible to the cleaner who added it and the owner and office manager.

  • Edit note: If they missed a detail or forgot to attach a picture, they can make edits to the note.

  • Delete note: The cleaner will only be able to delete a note added by them.
