How To Add Or Manage A Marketing Source

Summary

  • This article explains how to track where your clients discovered your business by adding or managing Marketing Sources in ZenMaid. You’ll learn how to:

1. Add a Marketing Source when creating or editing a customer.

2. Use the Manage Marketing Sources page to reorder or delete entries.

  • This helps you maintain accurate data in ZenMaid Reports, making it easier to identify which marketing channels bring in the most customers or revenue.

Important

  • Once a Marketing Source is added, it can’t be edited. To make changes, delete the current source and create a new one.

  • The Revenue by Marketing Source Report helps you identify which marketing channels generate the most revenue or bring in the most customers using ZenMaid’s reporting feature.


Adding Marketing Sources

  • From the ZenMaid Dashboard, go to Contacts > All Contacts.

  • Search for the customer, then select the one you want to update.

  • On the Customer Profile, click Edit.

  • In the Edit Contact page, click the dropdown and select + Add New.

  • Enter the Marketing Source Name (e.g., Google, Facebook, Craigslist) in the new field that appears below.

  • Click Save at the bottom of the screen.

  • The new Marketing Source will now appear in the dropdown list and under the customer’s Additional Information section.

  • Click Save to add the new Marketing Source and apply it to the contact profile.

Side Note

  • The steps to add a Marketing Source to a new customer are:

1. You can add a new customer by going to the Contacts page and clicking New Contact in the top right corner. You can also hover over the Contacts icon and click New on the pop-up.

3. Fill out the required customer details.

4. In the Marketing Source field, select or create the appropriate source.

5. Click Save to add the new customer.


Managing Marketing Sources

  • From the ZenMaid Dashboard, go to Contacts > All Contacts.

  • Search for the customer, then select the one you want to update.

  • On the Customer Profile, click Edit.

  • In the Edit Contact page, click the Manage button above the field.

  • On the Manage Marketing Sources page, you can:

1. Drag and drop sources using the crossed arrows to reorder them.

2. Delete unwanted sources using the red trash can icon.
