Checklist
When you're out in the field, the Checklist feature helps you stay organized and make sure nothing gets missed during a job. Here's how to use it on your phone step by step.
Each checklist is divided into sections by room or area. For example, the Kitchen section might include 25 tasks such as dusting ceiling fans, cleaning cupboard fronts, and wiping appliances. Additional sections may be included, which brings the total task count to 98 in this case.
Once you finish a task, tap the checkbox next to it. It will mark it as done and show the time you completed it, so the office knows it’s handled.
If another team member completes a task, the app will show their name and the exact time it was marked as completed. This information appears just below the item in the checklist and helps everyone stay informed about progress in real time.
If you finish a whole section (like all 25 tasks in the Kitchen), you can tap the section header and choose “Mark section as completed.” You’ll get a pop-up asking to confirm before it marks everything in that group as done.
If you want to explain something (like why you skipped a task), tap the speech bubble next to that item. You’ll see the task name and a space to add a comment. Type what you need and tap Save.
Tips for Success
1. Double-check before marking a section as done.
2. Use comments if anything was out of the ordinary.
To Note:
You can uncheck tasks or entire sections if you tap something by mistake. The checklist is flexible, so feel free to use it in the way that works best for you.
SOS
While we hope you never need it, the ZenMaid mobile app includes an SOS feature you can use to discreetly alert your office if you ever feel unsafe or find yourself in a tense situation on the job.
This tool is not intended for medical emergencies or situations that require contacting emergency services.
When you tap the blue shield icon on your screen, a pop-up will appear. This icon follows you on the right-hand corner while you're viewing an appointment.
The pop-up explains how the SOS feature works.
To alert the office:
Swipe across the SOS button at the bottom of the screen.
The button will change to say “Alert office,” confirming that the alert was sent.
That's all. Your team will be notified silently, with no need to call or text.
Important:
This feature is not intended to replace contact with emergency services. In situations requiring medical attention or law enforcement, please reach out to your local emergency authorities directly.
The SOS tool is a quiet support option meant to let your team know something’s wrong while you're still on-site.
You can access it from the job screen, just on the right-hand corner when viewing any appointment.
